Chap 8: Address Space Layout Randomization or Adaptive Stack Layout Randomization ?

Hi.

In Chap. 8 two expressions seem to refer to the same which are "Adaptive Stack Layout Randomization" and _"Address Space Layout Randomization" _ .

Which is correct one? ( or both correct?)

The latter is familiar with me, but The former is not.

    Thank you for the input.
    I can see how this may be unclear, since we are randomizing the addresses locations in the stack.
    Thank you for pointing it out.
    The terms can be used interchangably and I will have the maintainer make the usage consistant.
