Lab 2.3

Hey guys,

I am trying the Solution 2.31. Start the daemon using the SYSV init script.# /etc/init.d/vsftpd start .... with this Solution 2.31. Start the daemon using the SYSV init script.# /etc/init.d/vsftpd start on my Centos 7 VM but perhaps I'm confused or missing something. Is there any location that I might be missing to start this sysv init script?

Other command to start using systemctl command works fine.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the title for Lab 2.3 says something about 2.3.1 being optional as some distributions no longer ship the SYSV initialization scripts.

All significant distributions now support the systemd (systemctl) methods so it is better just to not worry about SYSV stuff IMHO
