@emaye135 In order for course moderators to be able to assist you, please provide more details as to what kind of help you need. At which point in the setup instructions you are having issues? Are there errors you are seeing? etc.

@emaye135 It can take an average of 2 business days for the course moderator to reply to a post. If you have any inquiries regarding refunds, please open a ticket with our support team at trainingsupport.linuxfoundation.org. The forum is only used for content-related issues.

  • Hi @emaye135 are you using your GCP project instead of onap-177920? We do not provide you any GCP resources as part of this course, so you have to do this on your own GCP account. Quota adjustment has to be done on the Google Cloud Console. Were you able to follow these initial instructions below? These need to be run from your MacOS or Linux terminal.

    ===========

If needed, create a Google Cloud account.

    Go to https://cloud.google.com

    Go to https://cloud.google.com/sdk/docs/quickstarts #Download SDK

Make sure billing is enabled on the project you select

Increase your quotas under “IAM & admin → Quotas → us-central1”

It may take email exchanges and a few hours/days for your quota

    Increase request to go through

    Compute Engine API → CPUs > 96
Compute Engine API → Local SSD (GB) > 1.5TB

This shows how billing needs to be enabled for a hypothetical

aarna-onap project (the name could be any project you create).

Also make sure you have done the following

If no project exists in this account, it needs to be created using “gcloud projects create”, prior to running gcloud init

    gcloud init

go through auth and select your project (NOT onap-177920, which is Aarna’s internal project for the images)

    OR

    gcloud auth login

If Project does not exist, it needs to be created using following command:

    gcloud projects create

Set the configuration to this project

gcloud config set project # your project and NOT onap-177920
gcloud config list --format='text(core.project)' # check that this worked
