Ready For .sh file not running properly

I have unbuntu running on my machine and downloaded the .sh file and was on the step to run
./ready-for.sh LFS201

the errors I get are:
line 1: --2020012011: command not found
line 2: syntax error near unexpected token '('
line 2: Resolving bit.ly (bit.ly)...

Please advise.

Hi @kuljotbiring ,

1.- What Ubuntu version are you running? I just tried on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS with a GUI, and it worked. I just had an issue related to free space on disk.

2.- Did you get the script from the following website?

I am using 20.10 the latest version

i downloaded the script from https://training.linuxfoundation.org/cm/prep/?course=LFS201

There was something wrong with the script from the link I used. However the one you linked worked! Odd they both have the same name and everything.
