Phases to Persistent Storage

Options

Hello,

About phases to persistent storage, In the course, there is 5 phases:

  • Provisioning
  • Binding
  • Using
  • Releasing
  • Reclaiming

but in the doc, there is 4:
https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/storage/persistent-volumes/#phase
Available -- a free resource that is not yet bound to a claim
Bound -- the volume is bound to a claim
Released -- the claim has been deleted, but the resource is not yet reclaimed by the cluster
Failed -- the volume has failed its automatic reclamation

Could you verify please ?

Thanks
Bruno

    Hi @FlamentBruno,

The phases representing the persistent volume and the persistent volume claim lifecycle are different from the pv phases.

There are the pv and pvc lifecycle phases: provisioning, binding... and then there are the phases of the pv state.
