Installing Hyperledger

I am right at the beginning on the ubuntu shell. When I type sudo apt update, I am asked for the password and once entered, I get the following errors:
E: Malformed entry 50 in list file/etc/apt/sources.list (URI parse)
E: The list of sources could not be read

How to correct this ??

You have a wrong entry in your /etc/apt/sources.list, please post the line 50 here, using, what ubuntu version are you using?

$ sed -n 50p /etc/apt/sources.list

Thanks, I got past that step. However, when I got to the command: cd ~/Desktop , I got an error: -bash: cd: /home/jaqo/Desktop: No such file or directory
I feel stuck here!
