Lab 8.1: 403 Forbidden - when testing the cgi-script

Using CentOS. When testing the cgi-script (http://localhost/scripts/foo.cgi?bar) I get a 403 Error.

Was I supposed to get that? Would anyone know why I might be getting this?

I already checked permissions and have all permissions (rwx) to all of these directories from my root user.

Thank you.

It should not have a 403 error. The foo.cgi script should have 755 permissions as the script will be executed as the user "apache" . There may be additional information in the httpd log or error files.

  • Thanks @lee42x . I'll take a look at the logs and see what I can find.
