Surface Book Performance Base - Linux

Hi everyone,

Linux newbie here.
I have a Surface Book (Performance Base version) and tired of using Windows. I've searched for a Linux distro that would fit my needs and found that Mint is the one to go. But unfortunately I discovered that is not that simple to migrate 100% to it, since my machine does not fully support the OS as it should.
I found this GitHub page from Jake Day that kindly makes kernels (I don't know if that's the correct term) and support the Surface community with updates to make Linux work properly (https://github.com/jakeday/linux-surface). But, as it turns out, there are still bugs left to be fixed: the dGPU and the camera.

As a newbie, is there anything I could do in order to find a solution? Can anyone help me and the other Surface Book users?

Thanks!
