Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

Monitoring tools on Linux

I am new to the forum, so I have no idea where I should post this. I just got a newsletter suggesting me to read the following article: https://www.linux.com/learn/intro-to-linux/2018/10/4-must-have-tools-monitoring-linux

Since there is no way to post comments under the article, I said I will ask on the forum.

Isn't Nagios a bit deprecated to be mentioned in a post in 2018? There are lots of other tools, like InfluxDB, Prometheus, Zabbix, and if somebody wants something a bit more "nagios like", there is Sensu and Icinga.

I don't feel like Nagios is "must-have" any more.
