Hello Tuttu,

The example in the book is static, so it would not be the once to use. The first local.conf file you posted had two addresses, but they don't appear to be the same interface or IP range.

Looking at the HOST_IP, the IP you wrote was a 172.17. address. The IP address of the first node would be in the same range.

You have the SERVICE_HOST IP as a 192.168 address instead. I think if you connect to the devstack-cc and look at the output of ip addr show ens3 you will find a 172.17 address. Use that in the local.conf file and I think the lab will work for you.

Hello,

Was there anything done on the lab3-2 nodes prior to this step? Perhaps there was a transient issue. I have just spun up a new lab3-2 and was able to connect from the cc to the compute-node.

Could you spin up a new lab3-2 and see if the problem persists for you?

Hello,

The compute-node is the hostname of a second instance. Its IP address is assigned via DHCP as is the devstack-cc node. You can ssh using the hostname, but would need to look up the IP addresses on both nodes to edit the respective local.conf files properly. It will not be the same from one attempt of the labs to another.
