I am planning to install Centos-7 and Debian-7 on my Laptop, and just for experiment purpose I was thinking of mounting single partition of SWAP to both distro installation.

I know that /, /boot, /var, /etc, /tmp & /home partition must be diffrent for diffrent distro installation, as they contain installation and distro specific files.

But for SWAP as it does not hold any specific data except during run-time, so can I mount the same partition for diffrent installation. And if not, then what are the technical problem.
