Fedora Enviroment

I'm a Linux newbie. Does anyone have a preference of the environment for Fedora....be it XFCE, Gnome, KDE, etc. Is one better than the other? I'm creating a file server/media server.

KDE is generally the most familiar to widows users, gnome is it's own beast and xfce is generally used for lower performance systems. The WM you choose should be based upon your needs more than anything else, if the server will be streaming content then you may want xfce to save memory and cycles.
