Hi All.

In Test Your Knowledge 5.4 the question asked is

The default configuration of VNC is SSL is encrypted. True or False?

And

The correct answer is "True".

However, in slide 5.18. VNC Client, it is mentioned

On its own, VNC is not secure after the authentication step. However, the protocol can be tunnelled throug SSH or VPN

So, why the answer to 5.4 is "True"? Does the question in 5.4 refer to authentication only?

Can someone explain please?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for identifying this issue.

The correct answer is FALSE, by default the VNC protocol is not encrypted. As mentioned,  the  VNC data stream can be easily encrypted through SSL.

This answer will be corrected in the next edition of the material.

    Thank you, Lee
