changing default bootloader from 1 OS to another

Plz help.......

I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 & 10.04(dual booting).My default bootloader is from Ubuntu 10.10 & now I want to change it from U-10.10 to U-10.04.How can I do this?

    Do you mean that you want the default to be 10.04? If so, that is far different from changing the boot loader, which is in either case grub2. You need to modify the grub configuration file, /boot/grub/grub.cfg. The line that says

    set default="N"

    where "N" is usually "0", needs to be changed to the 10.04 entry. Ie, if "N" is "0", change it to "1", but if it is "1", change it to "0". That will change the default boot for you so you don't need to go into the menu and choose.
