installing winmx and webcam

I have succesfully installed Wine and winmx, but it does not connect to the internet, does anyone know how I can get it to work? same as the webcam, I have a sweexx webcam but it does not start to work in any program,

I am a computer know nothing, so please HELP!!! haha

For the rest I realy like linux mint, mutch better than Windows and faster
