can anyone plz tell me how to customize ubuntu 10.04 by adding our own logos , icons and a default web browser on the source code level....

The modifications you are asking about do not need to be processed in the source code because they can easily be modified by changing the desktop appearance and changing the default applications. Can you be more precise about exactly what element you wish to change so we can point you in the right direction?
