problems with snd_hda_intel

All,

Since Slackware64-current upgraded to the 2.6.33 kernels I have been having a problem booting the system, it freezes when loading the snd_hda_intel module. I have confirmed this by blacklisting the module, which allowed me to boot. Now that the system is running, whenever I try to manually load the module it freezes the system.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me to try to correct the communication issue with the module so it will load and I can have sounds?
