Disk Timeout on RHEL4

Hi all,

In my company, the storage guys are going to perform EVA upgrade on their SAN device and they have requested us to change the disk timeout on the Linux systems. We have RHEL5 as well as RHEL4. By default in RHEL5 its 60. We are looking at changing it in RHEL4 (which is using both Emulex and Qlogic cards)

We have tried the below steps (We want this setting to be persistent)

*) lpfc_linkdown_tmo -> no luck

*) nothing specific found on the udev rules file for the timeout. (which was there in RHEL5).

Using rc.sysinit i think we can do it? but is it recommended.

Please help.

Cheers

K
