install programs with network sharing

I have two computer with ubuntu 9.10 .when i install a program from synaptic or software center i do it twice for computers.Is there any way for me to do it once ?I know aptoncd but i think i can do it with network sharing files .Is that true.?

I am not on ubuntu right now, but I beleive that after an app is downloaded and installed the installation package is still kept on the disk, if you can find the location of the package files (.deb), then you should be able to share that directory with another comp and use gdebi to install the packages from the first computer.
