Issue with Moovida Media Center - Staticy Audio

When I play audio files through Moovida I get this terrible static noise over my audio. The audio on the same video files works perfectly when I run it through VLC Media player, any suggestions? I'm running Ubuntu 64bit and the latest Moovida.
