Hi there!
I'm looking for a simple graphic card for my server. I actualy have a server with an intergrated Graphic card (with no TV OUT) cause actualy, I don't use any monitor on it.
I'd like to link it directely with my TV so see some DivX...etc. So I need a TV OUT, and a new graphic card. I don't play with it, I don't use OpenOffice or others things. I realy need something simple.... And linux compliant.
I saw that (sorry, that's in french) :
Club 3D Radeon‚Ñ¢ HD 3450 256 Mo

Do you think it'll be ok on a debian?
Thanks!

I believe that card uses an ATI chipset. Historically, Linux and ATI do not play nice. If all you want to do is watch vids on a TV screen, then if I were you, I'd go with a mid-range NVidia-based card that has TV-OUT.0 -
Ok thanks,
Anyway, I just saw that I don't have any PCI-E slot... Do you thnig that this PCI card will be fine?
Twintech GeForce FX 5200 128 Mo PCI

Yeah, good catch about PCI-e.
According to NVidia's website, that chipset (GeForce FX 5200) is supported by their driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_18897.html
Evidently, you have to use a legacy driver (version 173.14.xx), though, see here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_173.14.18.html
I can't guarantee it will work, but in my experience, the NVidia drivers have worked with my NVidia cards 100% of the time, and performed to my satisfaction.
good luck!0
