Package management for exam purposes.

For the exam purposes, do we only need to focus on the package management related to distribution we selected for the exam? i.e. if I choose Ubuntu I do not have to focus too strongly on RPM?

    Hi Jengel,

I'm goint to check that for exam purposes. Anyway, in terms of learning, I think it will be useful to try and test RPM and DEB packages, as well as all the package management systems we use in the course; they are very simple to use and we are covering the basic options, which are not much or difficult to use, so I strongly recommend you to learn them all.

    Regards,

    Luis.

Please keep in mind all exams are performance based.  Thus I would not expect to be asked to do rpm package stuff on Ubuntu or debian package stuff on Centos; there is no multiple choice...

    Hi Luis,

Certainly, I learn both anyway. Just won't allocate too much time in revision and exam prep time on them.

    Regards
