Lab environment

Hello,

can you please give us some hints about the lab environment that we should prepare for this course? I have checked the URL with the resources, that is provided at the introduction (https://training.linuxfoundation.org/cm/LFS258/) but there are only resources related to the exercises. I have also downloded a centos VM image from https://training.linuxfoundation.org/cm/VIRTUAL_MACHINE_IMAGES/ but those seems to be for an other course.

If there is no VM image prepared, then it would be helpful to have a page in the lab guide which would detail the resources one would need to provision for a VM in order to be able to succesfully handle this course (including a minimal package list needed for the start).

Thank you.

    Hi, thanks for the question.

There are no lab environment. You need to go through the slides and the screencasts.

They will show you how to install minikube on your own machine. Minikube will give you a Kubernetes instance on which you can do all the labs. Also a good idea to install Docker for Mac or Docker for windows, to have a Docker host handy.
