Using cryptsetup to encrypt a partition

I'm trying to use cryptsetup

sudo cryptsetup luksFormat /dev/loop0

to encrypt the loop device partition I created in Exercise 9.1, but after entering the passphrase I get the error message

IO error while decrypting keyslot

I can't find any info in other forms about what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

    Hi,

Can you try with a real partition instead the loop device? That error message indicates that the password is wrong, but you are just formatting the partition.

    Regards,

    Luis.
