HP mini 1151nr wireless & ethernet not working.

i am very new to linux and understand very little of how to use it, so i apologize for that in advance. i got this laptop to learn my way around linux. i know some basic terminal commands, and that's about it.



i have installed Zorin lite on my HP mini 1151nr and i have no internet connectivity whatsoever. i previously tried installing lubuntu and had the exact same problem. i've tried using WINE to install the windows version of the wireless driver via an .exe from HP, and it still has not solved the problem. 



someone on another forum suggested downloading a qualcomm wireless driver from a repository, but i can't even do that, because the ethernet won't even work. 



please help me diagnose and solve the problem.

Strange, because Ubuntu suggests your ethernet should work.
