Just installed latest version of Ubuntu on my old Toshiba Sat Pro L10 Laptop. 1.5Ghz and 1Gb RAM. It does not find the Wifi card, so what am I missing?
Linux doesn't usually autodetect wifi cards. You need to do that yourself and install the correct firmware (driver).
If you put the following into a Terminal, what is the output of: lspci |grep Network
UbuntuForums had a thread about this same exact issue. Maybe it will help:
lspci lgrep just gives me a list of switches to use, lspci by itself gave me a list which includes the INPROCOMM IPN 2220 Wireless LAN Adapter (rev 01)
