Hello everyone,
I have a diskspace issue.
doing df -H I get this:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_root-lv_root
69G 68G 0 100% /
I tried to find some files to compress/delete but I could not find anything.
I would like to know if there is a way to know what directories are inside the /
I used already ls but this just provides the whole structure and I need something more precise.
Can I get some help please?
Thank you so much.

There are several ways you can do this.
With the "ls" command, you can type
#ls -al, this will all files, directories and hidden files within the current directory along with the size of those contents. The size with be in bytes.
You can also use,
#du -sch (path to folder), this command will tell how much space the given folder is using.
Use these commands together to locate the files or folders that are consuming the most diskspace.0 -
You can use ls command the content followed by -al switch and for the size, information use the du command
