I have an Asus Eee PC 1000he and I'm considering a Linux system, but I haven't got a clue what would be the better solution.

So, please write back if you can help my decision.

  Ubuntu should work just fine on this, though you might want to install Xubuntu as it is a bit more conservative in memory usage.
