Backup type client to server

Hello,

I have 250-300 clients with windows os. I would like to make a system backup, type server->client and I don't want to use sharing profile from windows os. Server - linux os, client - windows os. Which software I should use to make backup type server-client?

Since you want to backup the linux server data onto a windows based client, have you considered using dd to make a clone image of the server disks and placing them onto a windows host using a mounted samba share?

    How about these?

    BackupPC http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
    Bacula http://www.bacula.org/en/

BackupPC is more straight-forward, Bacula is more enterprise-oriented - never used either though...

You can use clonezilla which will allow you to clone your linux server to am image. You will able to move the image to one of you windows PCs either via samba or moving it to another storage media.
