Converting an old Dell PC into a Print Server (?)

I have recently acquired an old Dell Dimension 2400 with the intent of wiping the drive and installing Ubuntu on it. After successfully accomplishing this task, I hit upon the notion of converting it from a stand-alone desktop into a print server for use around my house. My goal is to hook it up to an old HP Inkjet printer of mine and be able to print wirelessly via CUPS. What would be the best method for accomplishing this goal?

Turn on all the machines on the network, turn on the printer and setup the printers on each machine. CUPS has the ability to find printers on the network. Last time I had to setup my HP, cups even told me what model it was, found the driver and installed it for me. I use fedora, and I know they added a tweak or two, but, I'm sure Ubuntu is just as easy.
