Toshiba Laptop Fan Control

I have a Toshiba L505 with Ubuntu 10.10 installed, everything works fine except the fan speed does not increase with the temp of the computer. After doing some reading on the Ubuntu forums this seems like a pretty common problem. I was wondering if there was another distro I could try that doesn't have this problem.

    Options
    There are plenty of user friendly distros such as fedora, mandriva, mepis, etc... that all have similar functionality, but may have slightly different kernels that could have the problem resolved. You can download the liveCDs from various distros to test them to see if they fulfill your needs prior to installing them on your computer.
