How do I convert MSG emails without changing headers and attachments?

I need to convert several MSG emails, but the original email details must stay the same. The most important parts are From, To, CC, BCC, subject, date, attachments, and the message body. Some emails also have HTML formatting and old Outlook content. I am worried that normal conversion may break headers or save attachments separately in a messy way. What is the safest method to convert MSG files while keeping email headers and attachments unchanged? Any tips before converting a large folder?

    Old DBX files are tricky because newer Windows systems do not support Outlook Express anymore. The safer method is to convert DBX to PST directly instead of trying to reinstall old mail clients.
