PSI Browser won't work on Ubuntu 25.10, Xubuntu 25.10, nor Ubuntu 26.04

After booking a Linux Foundation exam slot I was given the instructions to test the PSI Browser, and despite all major versions of Ubuntu being listed as officially supported, I cannot make the app work in any case.

The installer will try to launch the app, this will fail with a segmentation fault, and the installer will detect this and uninstall everything.

I managed to hack this whole process and get the app installed nevertheless, and by adding some extra CLI flags I managed to launch it, but at some point it shows “Error occurred getting org configuration" and gets stuck there.

I tried with Ubuntu 25.10 (Wayland), Xubuntu 25.10 (X11), and Ubuntu 26.04 (Wayland). None of these systems worked.

I already opened TCCS-172649 but got no response yet. What should I do?

    Hi @juanluiskedro,

Opening a ticket was the correct step, as the Customer Support team can assist you with this. It can take several business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for them to respond, depending on volume. Thank you for your patience while they work to assist all students.

I sent them an email on april 28th too, no response at all, not even an confirmation email.
They list ubuntu 26.04 as an supported operating system, yet their PSI exam tool only supports X11 which is removed from Ubuntu 26.04.

It'd be great if the Linux Foundation worked more closely with PSI on validating their requirements, as someone who just wants to make an exam this is very demotivating. As they don't always offer physical locations either I am now made responsible for installing a different OS on a spare system just so I can use their software..
