How to Convert OST to OLM for Mac Outlook 2019, 2016?

You can’t directly import an OST file into Outlook for Mac, because OST (Windows Outlook) and OLM (Mac Outlook) are two different formats. If you want to use your old OST mailbox in Outlook 2019/2016 for Mac, you’ll need to convert OST to OLM.

The easiest way is by using a dedicated converter. I’ve had good results with Advik OST to OLM Converter. It works with both orphaned and active OST files and keeps emails, contacts, attachments, and folder structure intact.

Steps are simple:

Install and open the Advik OST to OLM Converter.

Add your OST file.

Select OLM as the output format.

Choose a location to save the file.

Start the conversion.

After conversion, just import the new OLM file into Outlook for Mac, and all your emails will be accessible.

    There’s no direct way to convert OST to OLM, as Outlook doesn't support this format conversion natively. However, using BitRecover OST Converter Wizard, you can achieve this in few easy steps:
    1. Open the software and then add your OST file, choose PST, and click Convert.
    2. Copy the PST file to your Mac.
    3. Open Outlook on Mac, go to File > Import, choose the PST file, and import it.
    4. In Outlook on Mac, go to File > Export, choose what you want to save, and it will be saved as an OLM file.
