Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

Ready to ditch Windows

I dabbled with Linux a lot, but it was never my main OS. I am on the journey to change that. I am starting this journey by taking the Introduction to Linux (LFS101) course.

Windows will still be the OS on my gaming machine, but over time, I intend to migrate all my work stuff to Linux.

Pleasure to meet you all, and hoping that this is a start to a new chapter in tech for me.

Hello friend, same for me! Typing this from linux mint :D

  • HIi I am Rudra. I think to be honest this is a good strategy since many individuals explore with Linux before committing it that makes sense that the LFS101 course is a good way to get started. It makes sense to keep Windows on your gaming computer and gradually switch to Linux for your workspace it is not necessary to have an exclusive approach.

This seems like a wise choice for long-term IT advancement because Linux truly benefits for productivity and learning how things operate under the surface. I am excited to learn with you this semester and wish you the best on your path.
