Lab 21.1 Verify that query goes to Cortex

Hello,
After starting SeaweedFS and Cortex, and configuring Prometheus, Lab 21.1 says "You should now be able to query data from Cortex via Prometheus’s expression browser." How can I verify that and that query data is not from local storage?
It would be good if instructors give instructions on how to check that data is being stored on Cortex.

    As i understood,
    it s confirmed by the fact that you can see samples older than the server.

    in a previous lab, there was the description to the internal folder tree, you were able to check all the local
    chunks.

    Prometheus is storing data there, if no data available after deletion and restart of the server, hence no Cortex installed.

    Please, if somebody have something to add/review comment it!
