How to Retrieve PST Password You Can’t Find After Getting a New Computer?

I recently moved to a new computer and copied all my Outlook data, including a PST file, from my old system. Everything transferred correctly, but now I can not open one of my PST files because it was password-protected, and I no longer remember the password. I tried checking old notes and saved files, but I still can not find it. Is there any way to recover or remove the PST password so I can access my emails again?

  • Yes, this situation is quite common when moving Outlook data to a new computer. Unfortunately, Microsoft Outlook does not provide any built-in option to recover a forgotten PST password. Checking old notes or files usually does not help once the password is lost, and manual tricks found online are unreliable.

The easiest and safest solution is to use Advik PST Password Remover Tool. This tool helps you remove or reset the password from a protected PST file in just a few clicks, even if you do not remember the original password. It works without Outlook installation and keeps all your emails, attachments, contacts, and folders intact. You can also use the free trial version to test the tool before upgrading and regain access to your PST file safely.

  • Few days ago my old Outlook PST file was not opening because it was password protected and I was unable to remember the password. After a lot of research I tried GainTools PST Password Recovery Tool. Its interface is quite simple and it removes the password without any data loss. The special thing about this tool is that it does not retrieve the password but removes it so that the file can be accessed again. I used its free version first and when I was convinced, I bought the full version. If you are also facing a similar problem, you can try it once.
