gnome places menu...

after baning my head against the wall for the past few hours, i come in search of help. I need to know how to remove items from the Places menu in gnome. i am not referring to the bookmark sections of the menu but the part that shows floppy, computer, etc. I have two entries for the same .iso file that was mounted some time ago with them mount -o loop ... command that will not seem to go away. logging into another account brings up the same menu so i know it is a system wide issue. also would like to get rid of the floppy entry if possible.

thanks in advance...
