Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

Forum Moderators, are PSI testing issues consistently real/bad, or are they isolated in nature?

Obviously, the forum is littered with test takers complaining of latency and a glitchy PSI environment. These complaints have been ongoing for years.

So why have these issues not been resolved by the LF after all this time? Makes me wonder if folks are only posting/complaining about the PSI environment because of a lack of preparation/failure and/or isolated issues on the test-taker side of things.

What do the forum moderators have to say about this? Are those folks preparing for LF exams burdened with test-taking environments that set folks up for failure, or make things that much more difficult?

Moderators, do you have any comments or suggestions for your "customers" to enhance their test-taking experience? Shoot, I'd take it during off-peak days and/or hours, if the experience is better.

    Hi @eddie.d.lopez

Please note that there are hundreds of successful exams a day (thousands every week), and only a very small percentage of candidates encounter issues. While even that percentage is not optimal and we continuously strive to make improvements, there are always multiple variables in place (candidate side, PSI side, LF side, global supporting cloud infrastructure, etc.) that may be responsible for the issues reported.

With that said, please note that forums are meant to be used exclusively for course-content related questions. All exam-related inquiries should be directed to the Linux Foundation Customer Support Team at trainingsupport.linuxfoundation.org.

    Kind regards,

    Thank you for the response.

"there are hundreds of successful exams a day (thousands every week), and only a very small percentage of candidates encounter issues"

this response gives some hope that a problematic testing system will not impair/impede all the hard work and resources spent preparing for the exam. So thanks for that.

"please note that forums are meant to be used exclusively for course-content related questions"

Respectfully, the forums are littered with non-course-related posts specifically around PSI exam test-taking issues. Asking about the PSI test-taking experience in a public forum will help to reassure others as they prepare for the exam, unlike doing so in a one-on-one private support inquiry.

    Thanks again.
