LFS253 Lab 1.1 and Lan 2.1 documentation outdated .....
Hi there,
This is my first time on LF online courses, I'm just surprised that the documentation is so out dated.
I have a 2021 support documentation release ....
I'm using a GCP VM : Linux ubuntu 6.1.0-26-cloud-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.112-1 (2024-09-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux
On the Lab1.1 it's written we have to create a VPC : no way to create on from a scratch GCP configuration. Creating the first VM do it all ....
On page 2 of Lab 2.1 Cgroups it's written that there is a freezer folder. : there is no such folder.... I created one, there is no tasks file within this folder ....
What am I supposed to do ? I spend more time in troubleshooting than learning :-(
Kind regards

I've found a solution here:
https://forum.linuxfoundation.org/discussion/860487/lab-2-1-freezer-not-exists-solutionStill the documentation could be updated with this solution.

The VPC related operations may be restricted on free tier accounts or to users assigned less privileged roles on accounts owned by someone else.
On GCP, the GCE instance provisioned according to lab exercise 1 shows different attributes, where the kernel image release is version 5+, it is appended with "-gcp", and it clearly states the Ubuntu 20.04+ release.
Deviating from the recommended OS release and version does produce different outcomes, as in different outputs and behaviors.
