Lab 9 error executing maven-examples

Hi all, I got stuck in the lab executing in Jenkins the Maven project call "maven-examples", this is the trace:

"Error: LinkageError occurred while loading main class org.sonarsource.scanner.cli.Main
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/sonarsource/scanner/cli/Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 61.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 55.0"

Any help please?

It's most probably a Java version incompatibility issue.

Please check the Java version installed on the Jenkins server. Make sure it is the updated one and is compatible with Sonarqube.

In my case, I have used OpenJDK 17 on my Sonarqube server and also on the Jenkins Server.

Hi @rodrigoaroringele, it seems that @ddeepak is right on the Java version. Take a look at this Sonaqube forum post:

So yes, you need to try with Java 17.
