Do patches for extra credit count toward graduation requirement?

According to the graduation requirement, we need to submit and have a certain number of patches accepted by the upstream kernel in order to graduate.

When I applied for mentorship, I submitted two patches in order to get extra credit, one patch to fix a documentation warning and another patch to fix a bug in kselftest.

I would like to ask if patches for extra credit count toward graduation requirement?

On the other hand, I have not gotten any response to the two patches I submitted so far.
