Compliance scanning with Chef Inspec requires a paid license - use CINC Auditor instead

Dear team,

I noticed the instructions in Lab 9 mention
curl https://omnitruck.chef.io/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- -P
inspec

But Progress (the owners of Chef) have changed their model - https://blog.chef.io/chef-software-announces-the-enterprise-automation-stack/

As a result, another free solution was created - CINC. https://cinc.sh/about/

Please review the material.

Kind regards

  • The Cinc distributions remove all trademarked and Chef owned intellectual property and images, etc. This makes them compliant with the Chef Software Trademark policy and EULA.
