In 5.3 why do we use kubectl create rather than reconcile?

In 5.2 we are introduced to kubectl auth reconcile, and use this to apply the role and rolebindings, but in 5.3.7 & 5.3.8 when we deal with service accounts the lab uses kubectl create.

Is there a particular reason for this? From the previous material I thought we should use reconcile here also.
