Loading Linux Instead of Windows

Hi
Using Windows 10 at present.
How do I go about installing Linux. Will I have to delete Windows and loose all my third party programs as well as MS Office or what.
If I do this, will MS Office work on Linux
Does EaseUS To DO Backup Program work on Linux

Can someone point me into the right direction for step by step help.

    Select the “Apps & Features” icon from your Start Menu or taskbar. Scroll down and click "Turn Windows features on or off". In the resulting dialog box, scroll down and check "Windows Subsystem for Linux" as well as "Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store". Then click OK to save your changes.
