Ubuntu with Firewalld?
Hi.
The OS of my choice for the exam is Ubuntu 18.04. I have come to notice that Firewalld is more closely associated with CentOS and UFW is more closely associated with Ubuntu? Is this correct?
Can I get through the exam using UFW or will I need to use Firewalld?
Thanks.

Hi @WarrenUK ,
I can provide an answer for this part:

Yep, that's right. You can see the documentation for Ubuntu here:
https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/security-firewall
I didn't find the related official documentation for CentOS, but found this one for Red Hat:
I can't provide an answer for the exam's part, because there is a firewall between the exam team and us.

I'm afraid you will have to ask these kinds of questions to the certification exam staff as the course authors do not write the exams. I would note that they do tend to try and use methods that work on all major enterprise distributions, with the except of things that would make no sense -- e.g., using apt on CentOS or dnf on Ubuntu. UFW is not available on RHEL/Centos unless you add the EPEL repository. firewalld is available on Ubuntu 18.04 directly.

Ok thanks.
I am learning both. Just in case.

It's a pleasure! For real life, it's always good to know the main systems you can find for implementing a feature/service.
