    @zf12

    if a package dependency - as in a dependency of the package - has a dev dependency:

    package -> depA -> devDepB

    In what scenario if any will devDepB be installed?

    As the figure shown, pino->fast-redact
    I can enter "npm install --save-dev fast-redact" to make fast-redact installed as development dependency

    So why the answer is not A?
