Unable to resolve host jojoubtwirdskt

Options

I have 2 disk drives that were working fine before and then after a reboot I can't access these drives anymore, I tried to manually mount the drives, I have error message 'unable to resolve host homepc'

The only thing I have done before is uninstalled samba and then I have reinstalled samba, although I still can't see my shared files

can anyone help me with this? I am using Ubuntu 9.10

Since it's New Year's Eve, I'll be in and out, but, if your can give us some info about your setup it might help.
    a) Are these drives on a local computer or are they shared drives over a network.
    b) When you removed and reinstalled samba did you redo the samba.conf file?
    c) If the drives are on a local computer, maybe the output of fdisk -l, and the contents of menu.list and fstab might help with a diagnosis.
I think you need to be more specific about your problem. Exactly when do you get the errors, on boot? When trying to access shares?

    b) First I uninstalled all samba files in synaptic package manager and I've
    redone the samba.conf file
    c) Under disk utility I still see the drives, and filesystem is
installed on a partition of one of the drives and works fine but can't
access the other partition and the other drive
