output of "make oldconfig" ask for Y/N for kernel configurations, how do i know which to select ?

it is asking for Y/N , like
1) select compression for kernel
2) select compression for chache, swap pages
3) different drivers options to enable them or not
and many more.....

so how do I know what to enable or not ?

  The safe option is default as config prompts indicate. Just press enter to select default for all of them.
