[Resolved] No write access

Recently I had reinstalled Ubuntu 8.10 cause of a GRUB issue, I have decided to reinstalled Ubuntu and upgraded to version 9.10

I have 2 partitions on the drive and Ubuntu is installed onto the first one and the second partition I want to use it for data

What I am experiencing even b4 I have upgraded to 9.10 whenever I tried to access the second partition to write a file or create a folder I keep having an error message '' Can't write to: /media/87f251f1-dbb0-4a35-8c97-de1e7470dca7

Are you sure have write access ?

Questions?

How do I go around this, I am the only user created on this PC?
